The smoke doesn't rise: it slides down the rock like a trickle of water, and the eye follows.
This ceramic incense burner takes the shape of a mountain. You set a backflow incense cone on the cavity at the top: the smoke flows back down the slope in a sheet, then gathers in the hollow of the base. The gesture is slow, almost a ritual — light it, blow it out, watch. The cones are not provided: you need backflow incense, pierced at the base, to get that flow.
Features
- Ceramic
- Backflow principle: the smoke goes down instead of up
- Supplied on its own: 1 incense burner, cones not included
- One colour
- Indoor use: living room, study, meditation corner
Everyday use
Light it at the end of the day, while the screens are shut down. The cascade of smoke lasts a few minutes and gives the eye something to settle on, which is often enough to bring the pace down.
Our approach
An object that asks for a gesture rather than a button. Ceramic cleans up, keeps, and depends on no proprietary refill.
